Lolade, a native of Nigeria, is a vocalist, songwriter, and music educator based in Houston, Texas. Growing up in a household with an appreciation for music and having a strong background in music theory, vocal performance, and piano laid the foundation for Lolade's musical approach and style. After graduating from the prestigious HBCU, Wilberforce University, Lolade moved to Philadelphia and subsequently, became very active in Philadelphia's vibrant and soulful music scene. Along with headlining her own live shows and featuring in countless musical festivals, Lolade was the vocalist for the acclaimed Rotimi and the Afrophonik Crew, established by one of Femi Kuti's primary trumpet players.

Lolade later relocated to Houston where she has continued to perform in local cafes, restaurants, and cultural events around the city. Lolade has special interest in the preservation of African and African-American musical traditions. Her ties to her homeland remain as she made an effort to collaborate with musicians and producers in Nigeria to curate all of her music.

In 2018, Lolade released a 3-song EP, entitled “Neverland”. Most recent single releases include Sisi Eko and Dreams, two Afro-jazzy instant classics. All music can be found on iTunes, Google Play, and everywhere music is sold and streamed. Presently, Lolade offers professional voice and piano lessons and continues to perform her eclectic mix of Afro-Folk-Soul music in and around Houston.
